One of our primary goals is preparing players to compete and succeed at the college level. We do this by selecting coaches who have played or coached at the collegiate or professional level. Additionally, we schedule competition with teams we know will push our players to improve their own skills. Lastly, through our educational seminars we provide players and families with the information they need to make smart choices regarding college recruiting.

Coast to Coast currently has alumni playing at every level of college baseball.....and even professionally. The following C2C alums have been selected during the MLB Draft or signed a pro contract.

Alum Thornton Commits to Illinois State
2007-11-06
A Coast to Coast alum of trips to Puerto Rico and Europe, Jake Thornton of St. Charles North High School (IL) recently committed to play at Illinois State University (NCAA DI) in the Missouri Valley Conference. Currently a senior, Thornton was named to both the Chicago Sun Times and Chicago Tribune all-state teams. As a junior Jake lead the conference in hitting and stole 32 bases.

Thornton's father, Jim, credits Coast to Coast with contributing to his son's development. "Coast to Coast was such a good experience for him and we want to thank you for that. The positive experiences, leadership and attitude Jake had with Coast to Coast have become an important part of the young man Jake has developed into."

Coast to Coast would like to congratulate Jake Thornton as he is poised to achieve his goal of playing college baseball. He has been, and remains, an outstanding representative of the program, but more importantly he is an outstanding young man. Congratulations!
