Bryan Anderson - The 4th round selection of the St. Louis Cardinals (2005 MLB draft) was in spring training with the big club this year. After failing to make the Major League roster, he was assigned to Springfield (AA) where he has begun the season by hitting .367 in the clubs first 8 games.
 
Jake Hale - Currently in his sophomore campaign at Ohio State University (NCAA DI), Hale is leading the Buckeye pitching staff in appearances (17) and saves (9). He has also posted an impressive 27 strikeouts in 27.1 innings pitched. During his freshman season (2006), he made 14 appearances with 11 starts as either the No. 2 or No. 3 weekend starter ... owned a 4-5 record with a 3.38 ERA in 64.0 innings ... pitched three complete games, all in Big Ten play and pitched a 3-0 shutout of Penn State (5/20) ... struck out 39 batters, but walked 29 ... held opposing batters to a .249 batting average, the lowest among the four starters ... was 3-3 with a 3.51 ERA in eight Big Ten starts and struck out 23 batters. Hale was a 24th round selection by the Cleveland Indians in the 2005 MLB draft.  
 
Michael Koons - In his second season at San Diego State University (NCAA DI) after a one-year stop at the University of Arizona, Koons has appeared in a team-leading 23 games for the Aztecs while going 3-1 with a 3.31 ERA.
 
Brock McCorkle - In his third year as the starting shortstop, McCorkle has led the Ouachita Baptist University Tigers (NCAA DII) to their first #1 national ranking (National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association). For the 45-6 (27-2 at home) Tigers, Brock is hitting .362 with 12 doubles, 3 homeruns and 32 RBI. He has also been hit by a pitch an incredible 22 times this season.
 
Derek Ranck - Out of Clarkson High School (MI), the junior outfielder is currently leading his Wayne State Warrior (NCAA DII) team in hitting at a .418 clip. Ranck also leads the team in hits (59) and doubles (11). He has 10 stolen bases and just one error while starting all 39 of his team's games. 
 
Grant Berkovitz - As a junior shortstop at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (NCAA DI), Berkovitz is hitting .286 while starting 26 of his teams 31 games.
 
Ben Jeffers - In his third season at Centre College (NCAA DIII), Jeffers is enjoying another stellar campaign hitting .299 while starting in 36 of 37 games.
 
Wes Gobble & Brock Glass - These two standout pitchers and high school teammates recently made a commitment to attend Columbia State Community College (NJCAA DI) in Columbia, TN.
