ITINERARY
Day
1

A member of the travel staff will meet you at the
gateway airport. After introductions and a short meeting with your
teammates, you will board your flight to Europe. The overnight flight
includes meals, movies, and beverage services.

Day
2
|
 |
Arrive in Europe. After clearing German customs
and immigration formalities, meet your Tour Manager and transfer to
Bonn, capital of the former West Germany. Hotel check-in upon arrival.
This afternoon an orientation of the local area is planned followed by
an afternoon workout at the ball field. In the evening, dinner at the
hotel and time to relax. |

Morning instruction and workout at a local field.
After lunch you’ll enjoy a short cruise on the Rhine, one of
Germany’s most historic and important waterways. Evening is free for
shopping and exploring downtown Bonn, or a game against local German
club. |

4

 |
Only 30 minutes away is the ancient Roman city of
Cologne. We begin our day with a guided city tour including a stop at
the famous Cologne Dom Cathedral, one of Europe’s largest gothic
structures. An afternoon workout at the field, followed by an evening
game against a local German club.

 |
Today you are hosted by the Bonn Capitals, one of
Germany’s top Bundesliga teams. Games at the Capital’s complex and
evening free to explore and shop. |

6

|
An early morning departure on your luxury
motorcoach takes you to Apeldoorn, Netherlands. Hotel check-in on
arrival. Afternoon workout at the Robur ’58 Baseball Complex. This
evening is free to get to know the city. |
Day
7
|
 |
This
morning we’ll take a guided tour of the Apeldoorn area. After lunch at
a local bistro, we head to the ballpark for a warm-up game against a
local Dutch club. The evening is free to enjoy the city.

8

 |
Today marks the opening of the 2003 Apeldoorn
Baseball-Series. Round-robin games will determine your playoff seeding.
While not on the field, visit the Palace Het Loo, former summer home of
the Dutch royal family.

Day
9
|
 |
Visit
the Apenheul, or Ape Park, where you can pet, hold and even feed several
species of monkey here in the park. Later, your tournament games
continue in the round-robin phase of competition. |
Day
10
|
 |
Final
round-robin games are played today. Explore the open-air market in the
town square this morning. Good buys can be found if you are a shrewd
shopper!

Day
11
|
 |
Today
is dedicated to the finals of the Series. Playoff games will depend on
your seeding following the round-robin play. Following the Championship
Game, a BBQ and farewell ceremony is planned.

12
|
 |
Depart for Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam and your
flight home to the USA. Arrive
later this very same afternoon. |
